Memorial stone installed at flagpole
Photo submitted to the Times Observer Two years ago, the Sugar Grove American Legion and AMVETS Post 50 worked together to place a flagpole in front of Eisenhower. A dedication was held and the only thing that was missing was the memorial stone in front of the flagpole. Supply issues, weather and COVID-19 played a part in the delay of the stone. This summer, with the help and support of Shawn Young of Allegheny Memorial and his staff, the memorial was installed. Pictured, from left, are Adam Yourchesin from AMVETS Post 50, Shawn Young from Allegheny Memorial and Richard Morgan from Sugar Grove Legion Post 758.
