Warren Players set for return after prolonged closure

The 2020 season was not a good one for Warren Players.

Distancing, masks, and venue restrictions are not friendly to theater groups.

But, the community theater group is ready to get back to its work of entertaining the community. “Warren Players is set to open our 91st season on the Struthers Library Theatre stage, after 1 1/2 years of being closed,” Board Member Jennifer Check said.

Auditions for the next show, “Mamma Mia!” will be held starting at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 24, and Wednesday, Aug. 25, at First Lutheran Church.

Parts are available for ages 14 and up, according to Check, who will be the director for the show.

The cast will be announced on Thursday, Aug. 26, and a meeting and read-through will be held at the church at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 29.

The performances will be on Oct. 21, 22, 23 (all 7 p.m.), and 24 (at 2 p.m.).

Starting at $3.50/week.
