John Shaughnesy, Karen Davis and David Oberg, board members for the Allegheny Center for the Arts work on their “Adopt A Highway” section of Route 6 in Pittsfield picking up garbage along the highway. Davis said the ACA has been involved in this program for five or six years. They’re one of many groups in the county that have adopted highways. “Each year Adopt A Highway program volunteers pick up hundreds of bags of trash along Warren County roadways,” PennDOT Warren County Maintenance Manager Adam Elms said. “The volunteers are greatly appreciated and help keep Warren County a beautiful place to drive through.”
