Tennessee man jailed for alleged minor corruption
A man from Brush Creek, Tenn. was jailed in Warren County Thursday on charges he allegedly smoked marijuana with a 15-year-old and also tattooed the child on three separate occasions.
Nathan Eugene Mead, 35, was arraigned Thursday before Magisterial District Judge Raymond Zydonik on two misdemeanor counts of corruption of minors and three counts of tattooing a minor without parental consent.
During an interview at the Warren County Children’s Advocacy Center, the 15-year-old displayed the tattoos and admitted to smoking marijuana with Mead and a third person at a residence where Mead was staying, according to the police criminal complaint accompanying the charges filed by City of Warren police.
Two of the tattoos were completed in November and include a heart on the left wrist, a rose on the upper left torso and the word “Faith” on the upper left thigh/groin area, according to the complaint.
During an interview with City of Warren police, Mead admitted to completing three tattoos on the 15-year-old but was hesitant to admit to smoking marijuana, the complaint states.
Mead was committed to the Warren County jail on Thursday in lieu of $20,000 monetary bond. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Dec. 31 in district court.
