Officials are hoping for welcoming weather on Wednesday, April 24, to kick off the Wednesday Wellness Walks.

Warren General Hospital and the Warren County YMCA are working together on weekly lunchtime walks.

“To promote exercise and community wellness, Warren General Hospital and the YMCA are sponsoring the WGH Wednesday Wellness Walk,” Warren General Hospital Executive Director of Operations Dan Grolemund said.

The program kicks off on April 24 — “National Walk at Lunch Day.”

The program runs from the April 24 event through July 10.

Each walk will start at noon at Soldiers and Sailors Park in downtown Warren.

“We will walk together as a group for approximately 30 minutes,” Grolemund said.

Anyone is welcome to attend and the first 300 walkers will receive a free T-shirt.

“Please come and join us in our wellness initiative as we strive to become a healthier community,” Grolemund said. “We look forward to seeing you all at Soldiers and Sailors Park at noon on April 24.”
