A Warren man is in jail after he allegedly stabbed another man during a fight at a Warren business.

According to City of Warren Police, Thomas Vincent Christeson, 29, of 4 Center St., Warren, stabbed a man during a fight at Fat Daddy’s Tap Room and Grille, 601 Pennsylvania Ave. E., shortly before midnight Tuesday.

Christeson faces two counts of aggravated assault, two counts of simple assault, one count of simple assault mutual fight, one count of recklessly endangering another person, and two counts of disorderly conduct.

According to court documents, police were dispatched to a fight in progress and advised that there were weapons involved and one person had been stabbed.

When they arrived at the scene, police took Christeson into custody.

Police spoke with witnesses at the scene and the owner of the bar, and watched video of the incident.

“The defendant, victim, and several other patrons in the tavern engaged in a physical altercation starting around 23:48 (11:48 p.m.),” police wrote. “The defendant pulled what appeared to be a folding blade knife and opened it as he lunged towards the victim.”

Police said there were also “numerous closed fist punches” thrown.

“The defendant slashed forcibly at the victim’s upper torso area at least twice, striking the victim in the left upper chest area,” police wrote. “There were several people close to the victim that were in danger of being cut or stabbed by the defendant during the altercation.”

The knife is described in the document as a folding knife with a three-inch blade.

Christeson was arraigned before District Justice Glenn Carlson.

He was taken to Warren County jail after failing to post $50,000 bail.
