Bridge Work The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation will hold a public meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 5, to review and discuss a bridge replacement project on Route 27 in Brokenstraw Township. The bridge carries traffic over Browns Run, about two miles west of the intersection with Route 6. The existing reinforced concrete bridge will be replaced with a single span pre-cast reinforced concrete box culvert. The project includes new roadway approaches. The work is scheduled for the 2020 construction season.
Freshman orientation Warren Area High School will have an orientation for freshmen and new students at 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 22, followed by a self-guided tour of the school.
