Main and Liberty St., Russell in Time Recently, the ROAR Committee sponsored an evening “Lantern Walk” through the center of Russell bounded by North Main, Liberty, and Conewango Sts. It was very well attended with over 40 adults and a dozen children attending. Thom Russell, Vickie Ferrie and Lisa Miller were the presenters. Together, they gave the history of the structures that are there and those that have been there in the past, but are no longer standing. Leaf pickup The City of Warren Department of Public Works is still picking up leaves and will continue until weather prohibits. Public Works Director Mike Holtz said there are still a lot of leaves to pick up and the city will continue until work turns to snow removal. Leaves can be raked to the lawn/curb area or bagged. Limbs and other yard waste should not be mixed with leaves. Residents are reminded that piled-leaves will be picked up by the City’s leaf vacuum machines, and the bagged-leaves will be collected by a separate truck.
