Bridge scores

Tuesday afternoon at the Allegheny Community Center, Bill Massa came in first with Audrey Cable in second. At the Woman’s Club Thursday afternoon, Nan Cashman and Linda Jensen were first and second. Connie Michell was first at the library Thursday evening with Bill Massa and Rita Mancuso tied for second.

ReStore

Habitat for Humanity of Warren County’s ReStore is operating from the basement of Warren Antiques & Giftware, located at 306 Second Avenue in Warren. The store is open for donations and purchases Monday through Saturday, 10am to 6pm. Donating large items such as appliances and furniture should be prearranged with Habitat for Humanity; other home improvement items may be donated during normal business hours. Habitat reserves the right to deny any item based on its potential resale value and / or usefulness to the organization. Contact Habitat at info@habitatwarrenpa.org.

AOC Events

On Sunday, April 22, the Allegheny Outdoor Club (AOC) will hike the Anders Run Trail in the Anders Run Natural Area near Irvine. Participants will meet at Betts Park at 1:30 p.m. For more information call event leader Earl Ross at (814) 726-3920.

On Friday, April 27 till May 1,the AOC will be camping, (Campsite 29) kayaking, biking, and hiking in the Sinnemahoning State Park. There will also be a side trip to Benezette to view the elk. For more information call Pat Spicer at (814) 757-8331, evenings.

Garden club to meet

The Hill & Dale Garden Club April Meeting will be Wednesday, April 25th at 12:30 p.m. at the Lottsville United Methodist Church. A lunch will be served at 12:30 with the meeting to follow. The program will be :“Trip to the Middle East” by Marge Himber. There will be a plant sale in the parking lot also.

ANF offices closed

All offices of the Allegheny National Forest will be closed from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 17 to allow employees to attend an all-employee meeting. Offices will reopen at 1:30 p.m.

Class lunches

The Warren High School class of 1956 will meet for lunch at noon Tuesday, April 17, at Pizza Hut. Please note the change of time.

The Warren Area High School class of 1964 will meet for lunch on April 23 at noon at the Conewango Club in Warren. All members of the class and their spouses or significant others are welcome.

Red Hats to meet

The Red Hat Society Purple Majesties chapter will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 19, at Jack’s Tap House.

Dinner club

The Newton Dinner Club will meet at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, April 19, at Richard’s Restaurant. Those attending are asked to bring a donation for the food bank.
