Jamestown man pleads guilty to sex trafficking, drug charges

A Jamestown man has pleaded guilty to sex trafficking conspiracy and drug charges. U.S. Attorney Michael DiGiacomo announced Friday that Kelvin Thomas, 43, entered the plea before U.S. District Judge John L. Man sentenced in Jamestown robbery

A former Amherst resident has been sentenced to eight years in prison and five years of parole supervision for his role in a 2024 botched robbery attempt in the city of Jamestown. The incident resulted in the shooting death of one of his accomplices and gunshot injuries sustained by two other accomplices. School district looks to add social worker

The Warren County school board is being asked to approve hiring an additional school social worker to replace a position that was formerly paid for with federal ESSER funding. The board will meet tonight at 6 p.m. in the Central Administrative Offices in Russell. The district's school mental health team currently consists of two social workers.
