Pleas entered in Warren County Court

Eight defendants entered guilty pleas in the Warren County Court of Common Pleas Thursday before Judge Gregory Hammond while one pleaded no contest.

Daniel R. Smith, 46, of Bear Lake, pleaded no contest to a felony count of criminal trespass, a misdemeanor count of harassment and a summary count of criminal mischief. Additional charges of criminal trespass, theft by unlawful taking and possession of drug paraphernalia were not prosecuted.

The following defendants entered guilty pleas Thursday:

Samantha D. Acevedo, 40, of Warren, to a misdemeanor count of simple assault. An additional count of harassment was not prosecuted.

MIchael I. Barry, 39, of Russell, to a felony count of DUI: Under the influence of a controlled substance, and two summary traffic offenses. An additional count of DUI and four summary traffic offenses were not prosecuted.

Charles R. Earls, 51, of Spartansburg, to misdemeanor counts of DUI and illegally operating a vehicle without ignition interlock. An additional misdemeanor count of DUI and two summary traffic offenses were not prosecuted.

Jordin S. Grove, 22, of West Hickory, to a misdemeanor count of possession of a controlled substance.

John P. Houser, 35, of Westfield, New York, to a felony count of possession with intent to deliver. Additional felony charges of possession with intent to deliver and criminal use of a communications facility were not prosecuted.

Andrew L. Lopez, 19, of Erie, to a misdemeanor count of carrying a firearm without a license. Summary charges of harassment and disorderly conduct were not prosecuted.

Kristin R. Ross, 32, of Pittsfield, to a felony count of DUI, a misdemeanor count of DUI and a summary count of careless driving in two separate cases. An additional felony count of aggravated assault by vehicle while DUI, two misdemeanor counts of DUI and two summary traffic offenses were not prosecuted.

Kathryn I. Steinkamp, 31, of Warren, to a misdemeanor count of DUI and four summary traffic offenses. An additional misdemeanor count of accident with damage to an attended vehicle or property and four summary traffic offenses were not prosecuted.
