DUI. State police report that at 3:06 a.m. on Aug. 27, Derrick A. Shirley, 25, Youngsville, was stopped on Route 6 for a traffic violation, and during the course of the investigation, it was determined that he was under the influence of alcohol. Charges will be filed pending laboratory results. The investigation is ongoing.

Columbus

Burglary. Corry-based state police reported that sometime between Aug. 11 and Aug. 25, someone broke a padlock and stole items from a barn at a residence on Route 6 in Columbus. Anyone with information is asked to contact PSP Corry at 814-663-2043.

Lander

Cruelty to animals/criminal mischief. State police reported that at 2:20 p.m. on Aug. 29 someone shot a Golden Retriever in the Village of Lander on Route 957, apparently with a .22 caliber firearm. Mead Twp.

Crash. State police reported that at 4:11 p.m. on Aug.29, Mark S. Zaleski, 54, Slatington, Pa., was traveling eastbound on Route 6 near the intersection of Kinzua Road on a 2003 Harley Davidson Fat Boy, when he swerved to avoid a slowing motorcycle, lost control and laid the motorcycle on its side. He was transported to UPMC Hamot in Erie by Clarendon Volunteer Fire Department. Zaleski was given a warning for following too closely.

Pittsfield Twp.

Burglary. State police reported that sometime between 4 p.m. on Aug. 12 and 5 p.m. on Aug. 26, someone entered an unsecured storage semi trailer on Route 27 and removed a Troy Bilt lawn tractor with a 17.5-horsepower engine and a 42-inch deck, valued at $999. Warren

DUI. City of Warren police reported that Chuck Restivo, 39, Gerry, NY, was charged with DUI, DUIcontrolled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. During the same incident, Aaron Restivo, 36, Jamestown, NY was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a small amount of marijuana and Leroy Tubbs, Jr., 50, Jamestown, NY was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop on August 1.

Harassment. Matthew Porter, 24,Warren, was cited for Harassment by City of Warren police on August 18 after police received a call that he had struck a person known to him. Robert Edwards, 34, Warren was cited for driving while suspended during the same incident.

Defiant trespass. City of Warren police reported that Amelia Olsson, 38, Mt. Jewett, was cited for defiant trespass after police responded to a report of a female refusing to leave a public building at closing time on August 20.

Harassment. Daniel Price Jr., 20 Russell was cited for Harassment by City of Warren police after police received a report that he was continually harassing someone after being asked to stop on August 21.

Public drunkenness. Johnnie Thompson, 31, Akron, Oh., was cited by City of Warren police with public drunkenness on August 21 at 12:30 a.m. after police were called to a report of a male passed out in the grass.

Harassment. City of Warren police reported that Dylan Hochstine, 18, Warren, was cited for harassment following an altercation at a city park on August 24.

Disorderly conduct. City of Warren police reported that Brian Jashurek, 20, Warren, was charged with disorderly conduct, failure of disorderly persons to disperse upon official order and resisting arrest on August 25 after police responded to a report of a past tense domestic dispute with people yelling and screaming in the street at 11:43 p.m. He was placed in the Warren County Jail on $15,000 Bail. Kenndal Russell, 20, Warren, was also cited for Underage Drinking during the same incident.

Harassment. City of Warren police reported that Devon Moore Sr., 46, Warren, was cited for harassment after he sent threatening emails to a person known to him.

Crash. City of Warren police reported that Mary Merenick, 80, Warren was cited duties at stop signs following a two-car accident at theintersection of Conewango Ave. and Fifth Ave. on August 26.

Warrant arrest. At about 12:45 p.m. on August 28 Warren County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Timothy Cravener, 25, homeless, on two bench warrants issued by Warren County Court of Common Pleas for failure to appear for fines and cost court on the original charges of theft by unlawful taking and retail theft. He was placed in the Warren County Jail pending further court action.

Brokenstraw Twp.

Criminal trespass. Warren-based state police reported that between August 23 at 2:30 p.m. and 11 a.m. on August 24 someone forcibly entered a camp through the front door belonging to Gloria Marie Chase, Warren, located on Abraham Hollow Rd. The door clasp located on an outdoor shed was also damaged and opened. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police.

Conewango Twp.

Theft and false reports. Conewango Township police reported that on August 27 at approximately 12:29 a.m. the manager of Red Maple Inn, Krista Marie Weilacher, reported to police that someone had burglarized the Inn and stole $2,000 cash and her wallet. Weilacher later confessed to police that she had lied about the burglary and that she was the one who had stolen the $2,000 from the Inn and that she had done so over a two week period. Police charged Weilacher with theft by unlawful taking and false reports.

Mead Twp.

ID Theft. Warren-based state police reported that on August 25 between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. someone opened a cell phone account with AT&T using the contact information of a known 70-year-old male, Warren.

Warren

Warrant arrest. At about 9:18 a.m. on August 26, Warren County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Anthony Jashurek, 44, 22 Buchanan St., Warren, on a bench warrant issued by District Justice Laura Bauer for failure to pay fines and costs on the original charge of retail theft. He was taken before Bauer and given a differed sentence.

Warrant arrest. At about 4:14 p.m. on August 26, Warren County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Tierra Card, 19, 17 Franklin St., Warren, on a bench warrant issued by the Warren County Court of Common Pleas for failure to appear for fines and costs court on the original charge of possession of marijuana. She was placed in the Warren County Jail pending further court action.

Sugar Grove Twp.

Burglary. Warren-based state police reported that between 3:25 a.m. and 4:50 p.m. on August 19 multiple unknown individuals forced entry into the store room at Horner’s Scrap Yard, taking property from the office as well as additional property from the scrap yard outside. Police said property was also damaged inside the store room. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police or the Warren County Crime Stoppers.

Forest County

Warrant arrest. The Warren County Sheriff’s Office reported that at about 4:32 p.m. on Aug. 25, Warren County Sheriff’s deputies, assisted by Forest County Adult Probation, arrested James Micale, Marienville, on a bench warrant issued by the Warren County Court of Common Pleas court for failure to appear for a fines and costs hearing. He was placed in the Warren County Jail pending further court action.

Cruelty to animals. A spokesperson for Paws Along The River Humane Society reported that James Riel, Pittsfield, pleaded guilty to one count of cruelty to animals before District Justice Aurthur Zerbe on Aug. 19 for neglecting and failing to provide two horses food, veterinary care, farrier care, and a clean and sanitary living environment. The horses were relinquished to Paws Along The River Humane Society.

Forest County

Warrant arrest. The Warren County Sheriff’s Office reported that at about 4:32 p.m. on Aug. 25, Warren County Sheriff’s deputies, assisted by Forest County Adult Probation, arrested James Micale, Marienville, on a bench warrant issued by the Warren County Court of Common Pleas court for failure to appear for a fines and costs hearing. He was placed in the Warren County Jail pending further court action.

Bad check. Dennis Massa, Jr., 40, Clarendon, was cited by City of Warren police for a bad check after a check was written for $104.59 to a local grocer and was returned on a closed account.

Underage drinking. A 15-year-old juvenile was charged by City of Warren police with underage drinking, harassment and disorderly conduct and a 17-year-old juvenile was charged with disorderly conduct and harassment on Aug. 17 after police responded to a report of a large group gathered and a fight taking place at 5 a.m.

Crash. City of Warren police reported that Jodi Grinnen, 47, Warren, was cited for a red light violation following a two- car accident at the intersection of Conewango and Pennsylvania avenues on Aug. 19.

Crash. City of Warren police reported that George Yeagle, 72, Warren, was cited for vehicle approaching or entering an intersection following a two-car accident at the intersection of Market Street and Fifth Avenue on Aug. 22.

Deerfield Twp.

DUI crash. Warren-based state police responded to a two-vehicle accident on Route 27 north of Torpedo on Aug. 19 at 11:40 a.m. Jennifer Oakes, Titusville, was traveling north on Route 27 while Thomas Vorse, Colonial Beach, Va., was traveling south. Oakes drifted across the center line and into the path of Vorse’s vehicle. Police said Vorse attempted to move off the berm of the roadway to avoid a collision but was unable to move far enough off the road to avoid the collision. Police said both drivers sustained minor injuries in the crash. Oakes was taken into custody on suspicion of driving under the influence and was transported for chemical testing. Police said the investigation continues.

Farmington Twp.

Theft. Warren-based state police is investigating the theft of a chocolate lab that was stolen between Aug. 14 at 6 p.m. and Aug. 15 at 8 a.m. from a residence on Fairbanks Road. Police said the dog was turned into the Elk County Humane Society unharmed. The owner has been reunited with the dog. Anyone with information is asked to call police or the Warren County Crime Stoppers.

Pine Grove Twp.

Retail theft. Warren-based state police report that a continued investigation into an incident at Tall Tales Sporting Goods revealed that Jason Everett Kennedy, 37, and Angel Lee Cobb, 36, both of Jamestown, N.Y., worked together to steal a Leupold Range Finder valued at $289. The incident occurred on Sept. 22, 2014 between 2:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. Also present was a known juvenile female. Both suspects were charged with one count each of retail theft, corruption of minors, conspiracy for retail theft and conspiracy for corruption of minors. Police said that further action is pending.

Crash. Warren-based state police responded to a two-vehicle accident on Aug. 19 at 5:20 p.m. on Priest Hollow Road west of Egypt Hollow Road. A 2003 Dodge 3500 Sprinter, driven by Jason S. Neubold, 39, Harrisburg, Pa., and a 2002 Ford F250, driven by Christopher A. Whyte, 38, Warren, were traveling west on Priest Hollow Road. Whyte was attempting to pass Neubold on the left when Neubold turned into Whyte’s lane of travel. Police said Neubold failed to signal his intention to turn and failed to check and see if the traffic lane was clear. Neubold sustained minor injuries in the crash. A passenger of Neubold’s, Bobbi J. Troutman, 37, Harrisburg, and Whyte were not injured. Russell volunteer firefighters responded to the scene.

Pittsfield Twp.

Burglary. Warren-based state police reported that sometime between 8 a.m. on Aug. 1 and 1 p.m. on Aug. 23 someone entered a property on the Old Garland Road and removed property from the garage belonging to Michael Thomas Hewitt before fleeing the scene. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Warren County Crime Stoppers.

Sheffield Twp.

Criminal trespass. Warren-based state police have charged Christopher Turner, 32, Warren, with criminal trespass after going into a residence on Mill Street and getting into a confrontation with the owner after being told not to go there. Police said the charge was filed through District Justice Glenn Carlson’s office.

Southwest Twp.

Criminal mischief. Warren-based state police reported that on Aug. 20 between 2:30 a.m. and 11:40 a.m. someone use a stolen vehicle belonging to Cody Whitman to damage property belonging to Enervest Oil and Gas. The vehicle was then burnt and left on an oil lease road off of Emerson Hill Road. Anyone with information is asked to contact police or the Warren County Crime Stoppers.

Youngsville

Fraud. Youngsville Borough Police reported investigating an access device fraud that occurred at the Northwest Savings Bank in Youngsville on Tuesday, Aug. 11. Renee Berdine used a known individual’s debit/credit card at the ATM to withdraw $200 from an account, without permission to do so. Police said charges are being filed through District Justice Arthur Zerbe’s office.

Pittsfield Twp.

Burglary. According to Corry-based state police, sometime between Aug. 18 and Aug. 21, someone entered the unlocked home of Jason Allen and stole a $100 bill from inside a picture frame. Police said the suspect then left the area undetected. Anyone with information is asked to call Pennsylvania State Police.

Clarendon

Crash. State police said, on Wednesday, James C. Eklund, 43, Clarendon, side-swiped a 2014 Volkswagen Touareg that was parked outside Kondak’s Market on Route 6 with his 1999 Honda Accord and fled the scene. Police said Ecklund was followed to a residence on Route 6 and identified a short time later. Multiple charges were filed through District Judge Laura Bauer, according to police.

Conewango Twp.

Retail theft. Conewango Township Police reported that, at 11:15 p.m. Aug. 20, officers were dispatched to WalMart for a report of retail theft. Loss Prevention at the store conducted an internal investigation, and found that Kelsey M. Johnson, 21, Clarendon had been stealing items while employed at WalMart. Loss Prevention determined a total of $546 since May. A criminal complaint was filed with District Justice Laura Bauer’s office.

Union Twp.

Crash. Corry-based state police reported that at 10:25 a.m. on Aug. 20, Scott Colosimo, 46, Warren, was traveling east on Route 97 in a 1998 Chevrolet Lumina when his vehicle began to hydroplane on the wet road and began to spin in a counter-clockwise direction. The vehicle spun several times, crossing the center line into the westbound lane in front of a 1991 GMC commercial vehicle driven by Leslie Brace of Waterford. Brace’s vehicle struck Colosimo’s, traveled across the eastbound lane and came to rest in a ditch facing north. Both vehicles suffered disabling damage and were towed from the scene. Neither operator was injured, nor was a passenger in the Colosimo vehicle. Colosimo was cited for failure to drive at a safe speed, and police were assisted at the scene by Union City Volunteer Fire Department and EMS.

Pittsfield Twp.

Warrant arrest. The Warren County Sheriff’s Office reported that sheriff’s deputies arrested David Leonard, 37, Warren, on Aug. 15 at the Warren County Fair on a bench warrant issued by District Justice Laura Bauer. He was released upon entering a plea and paying costs of the warrant.

Warren

Warrant arrest. The Warren County Sheriff’s Office reported that sheriff’s deputies arrested Jeffery Huling, 35, Erie, on several bench warrants for failure to appear for fines and cost’s court. He was incarcerated in the Warren County Jail awaiting further court action.

Columbus Twp.

Burglary. Corry-based state police report that sometime between 11:30 p.m. on Aug. 18 and 9 a.m. on Aug. 19, someone forced entry into Kucnick Automotive, damaging two doors with an approximated value of $600. The suspects then stole five cases of Pepsi products valued at approximately $120 and $650 in cash. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at 663-2043.

Columbus Twp.

Forgery/theft. Corry-based state police report that at 7:37 p.m. on July 16, Dillion Mitchell Stinedurf, 21, Corry, removed three checks from a victim’s personal checkbook, then wrote out amounts totaling $770 and cashed them at Sander’s Market, forging the victim’s signature. Stinedurf was arrested and placed in the Warren County Jail on charges of forgery, theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property.

Theft. Corry-based state police report that sometime between 12:01 a.m. on July 1 and 12 p.m. on July 5, two pitchforks were taken from 1575 Schrambling Road. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at 663-2043.

Venango

County

Warrant arrest. The Warren County Sheriff’s Office reported that Derek Rodgers, 25, Titusville, was arrested on Aug. 20 on a bench warrant issued by the Warren County Common Pleas court for failure to appear for fines and costs hearing. He was placed in the Warren County Jail pending further court action. His original charges were a misdemeanor 2 unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and several summary traffic offenses.

Harassment. Alexandra Borton, 22, Warren, was cited for harassment on Aug. 16 after city police responded to a report of an assault.

Conewango Twp.

Arrest warrant. Pennsylvania State Constables and Conewango Township Police arrested Christopher A. Wells, 32, North Warren, on Aug. 18 on a warrant for cruelty to animals. He was taken before District Justice Glenn Carlson and released, pending further court action.

Retail theft. On Aug. 16 at 4 p.m. Walmart Loss Prevention personnel witnessed Lindsey Ann Seyfang and Patricia Ann Ames, both of Warren, intentionally not scan $89.92 worth of merchandise while using the self-checkout at Walmart. Seyfang and Ames then attempted to leave the store without paying for the items. Conewango Township police subsequently charged Seyfang and Ames with summary retail theft for the violation.

Pleasant Twp.

Arrest warrant. Pennsylvania State Constables arrested Christina L. Harris, 31, North Warren, on Aug. 18 on a warrant for cruelty to animals. She was taken before District Justice Glenn Carlson and released, pending further court action.

Pine Grove Twp.

Cruelty to animals. Paws Along the River Humane Society reported that Aaron Arnold, Russell, was found guilty of cruelty to animals at a hearing before District Justice Glenn Carlson on Aug. 6. Arnold was charged and found guilty of abandonment of a male pitbull on August 6.

Pittsfield Twp.

Public drunkenness. At about 7:56 p.m. on Aug. 14 Warren County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Joshua Apthorp, 29, Corry, for public drunkenness at the Warren County Fairgrounds after deputies were alerted and observed him to be highly intoxicated, using profanity and staggering through the crowd carrying a juvenile on his shoulders. He was placed in the Warren County Prison after being arraigned by District Justice Glenn Carlson and was also detained on warrants issued out of Erie County for violating probation.

Sheffield Twp.

Liquor law violation. Officers of the Pennsylvania State Police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement reported on Tuesday that a citation was issued on Aug. 12 against The Shaw House, Sheffield. Police allege that the establishment sold, furnished and/or gave or permitted such sale, furnishing or giving of alcoholic beverages to a 19-year-old minor on July 14. Police said the charges will be brought before an administrative law judge who has the authority to impose penalties from $50 up to $5,000, in addition to possible license suspension or revocation. Police said training can be mandated as well.

Forest County

Crash. Marienville-based state police responded to a two-vehicle accident on Route 66 at Smokey Lane on Aug. 15 at 4:05 p.m. A 2012 Chevrolet SUV, driven by Elizabeth Lobdell, 27, Warren, was traveling north on Route 66 and was following a 1998 Chevrolet convertible, driven by David Lyons, 64, Ellwood City. A vehicle in front of Lyon slowed suddenly to turn left onto Smokey Lane. Lyon slowed and steered to the right to go around the turning vehicle. Lobdell did not stop in time and struck the rear left of Lyon’s vehicle. Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts and Lyons sustained what police described as minor injuries. Marienville volunteer firefighters secured the scene until the investigation had concluded. Neither vehicle was towed from the scene.

Erie County

DUI. Corry-based state police report that at 10:12 p.m. on Aug. 16, Cindy Lou Pierce, 49, Spring Creek, was stopped for several traffic violations on Route 89 in Erie County. Upon making contact with Pierce, she was determined to be under the influence of alcohol. Charges are pending through District Justice Christopher MacKendrick’s office.

Arrest warrant. Pennsylvania State Constables arrested Shawn D. Dibble, 32, Warren, on Aug. 13 on a warrant for two charges of driving while under suspension. He was taken before District Justice Glenn Carlson and released after paying fines and costs.

Harassment. Lois Jerman, 64, Warren, was cited for harassment and criminal trespass after she forced her way into a residence and caused a disturbance on Aug. 7.

Harassment. David Halle, 33, Warren, was cited for harassment on Aug. 8 after city police responded to a report of a fight.

Harassment. Jerry Hammerbeck, 31, Warren, was cited for harassment on Aug. 10 following an incident during a custody exchange.

Disorderly conduct. Adam Confer, 18, Warren, was cited for disorderly conduct on Aug. 12 after city police responded to a report of a male subject threatening juveniles.

DUI. Joseph Campman, 29, Warren, was charged with DUI, DUI accident, DUI .16 percent or higher, DUI – controlled substance, reckless driving, careless driving and duties at stop signs following a two-car accident at Pennsylvania Avenue and Prospect Street on Aug. 3.

Contempt of court. Wayne Glasgow II, 24, Spring Creek, was charged with contempt of a court order after city police responded to a report of a disturbance at 2:30 a.m. on Aug. 16. He was placed in the Warren County Jail on an emergency commitment.

Columbus Twp.

DUI. Corry-based state police report that at 9:36 p.m. on Aug. 16, a known 40-year old male from Bear Lake was stopped for a traffic violation near the intersection of Routes 6 and 957. Further investigation revealed the accused had been consuming alcoholic beverages and he was arrested for DUI. Charges will be filed through District Justice Arthur Zerbe’s office.

Conewango

Twp.

Liquor law violation. The Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement issued a citation on Aug. 12 for selling, furnishing and/or giving or permitting such sale, furnishing or giving of alcoholic beverages to a 19-year-old minor on July 14 to The Cornerstone, 308 Pennsylvania Ave. E. The charges will be brought before an Administrative Law Judge (ALJ), who has the authority to impose penalties ranging from $50 to $1,000 for minor offenses and up to $5,000 for more serious offenses. In addition, the ALJ can also impose a license suspension or revocation of the license based on the severity of the charge. The ALJ can also mandate training for the licensee.

DUI. State police report that at 12:32 a.m. on Aug. 3, Jessica Lynn Bailey, 30, Clarendon, was arrested for DUI following a traffic stop in the area of Routes 6 and 62. Charges were filed through District Justice Arthur Zerbe’s office.

Criminal mischief. State police report that sometime between 9 p.m. on Aug. 12 and 9 a.m. on Aug. 13 someone damaged a 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix GT while it was parked next to a residence at the Brokenstraw Apartments. Pittsfield Twp.

Harassment. State police report that approximately 11:15 p.m. on Aug. 14 at the Warren County Fairgrounds parking lot, a 19-year-old female subjected a 16-year-old female juvenile to unwanted physical contact. Non-traffic citations for harassment and disorderly conduct were filed through District Justice Arthur Zerbe’s office.

Criminal mischief. State police report that sometime between 5:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. on Aug. 15, someone damaged a vehicle with an unknown sharp object in the Warren County Fairground’s parking lot. Anyone who may have witnessed the act is asked to call state police at 728-3600.

Mischief. Pennsylvania State Police are looking for information regarding an incident that took place between 3 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. Thursday at the Warren County Fairgrounds. According to police, someone scratched the driver and passenger sides of a red 2006 Dodge pickup truck. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police or Warren County Crime Stoppers.

DUI. Pennsylvania State Police charged Ryan Lee Markey, Warren, with DUI after he allegedly was seen “driving all over the road almost striking passing motorists” at 6:43 p.m. Wednesday, July 29, on Route 6. According to police, Markey was located at the Shell State and determined to be under the influence of a controlled substance. A blood test confirmed the presence of a controlled substance, according to police. Charges were filed through District Justice Arthur Zerbe’s office.

Limestone Twp.

Theft. Warren-based state police reported that sometime on Aug. 10 someone removed a crashed trailer from the end of Michael Jackson’s driveway on Route 62 without his consent. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police or Warren County Crime Stoppers.

Pine Grove Twp.

Warrant arrest. On Aug. 13 at 9:55 p.m. Warren County Sheriff’s deputies arrested David S. Kuzminski, 53, Russell, on a bench warrant for failure to appear for fines and costs court. Kuzminski was incarcerated in the Warren County Jail pending further court action.

Cruelty to animals. The Paws Along the River Humane Society reported that Anita Wybiral, Russell, pleaded guilty on July 31 before District Justice Laura Bauer to one count of cruelty to animals for neglect and failure to provide a clean and sanitary living condition, veterinary care and water for ten dogs.

Forest County

Fatal fire investigation. Marienville-based state police said that the Tionesta Volunteer Fire Department responded to a structure fire on Hallis Road in Green Township at 4:50 a.m. Friday. Police said human remains were found inside the structure and the fire marshal unit was requested.

Police said the investigation is ongoing.

Criminal mischief. Conewango Township police reported that on Aug. 1 Jesse Scott Kiser of 98 Spruce Court was charged with one count of summary criminal mischief after he took five pairs of pants and five t-shirts belonging to Cody Streit, Warren, and intentionally doused them with gasoline and set them on fire. Police charged Kiser for the violation.

Freehold Twp.

Mischief. Pennsylvania State Police are looking for the culprit in an incident in which the air was let out of a CJ Trucking water truck, causing damage to the sidewalls of the six tires, between Saturday and Monday. The estimated damage is $4,917.80, according to police. Anyone with information is asked to contact Corry-based state police or Warren County Crime Stoppers.

Crash. Three people were injured in a two-vehicle crash at 12:58 p.m. Wednesday on Route 957. According to Pennsylvania State Police, Burton Nicklas, 72, Warren, driving a motorcycle, started to pass a vehicle driven by Ward Rickner, 58, of Highlands, Texas, without signaling. Police said Rickner made a sudden left turn into a driveway without signaling, at which point the motorcycle crashed into the back of the vehicle. Nicklas and two passengers in Rickner’s vehicle received minor injuries, police said. Neither driver was charged.

Limestone Twp.

Crash. Warren-based state police responded to a two-vehicle accident on Route 62 south of Bimber Run Road on Aug. 8 at 12:10 p.m. According to police, a 1997 Ford Ranger, driven by Stephanie L. McCann, 30, Knox, ran into the back of a trailer towed by a 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe, driven by Michael J. Jackson, 68, Tidioute, while Jackson was attempting to turn into his driveway. Police said extensive damage was caused to the trailer. No one was injured in the accident and no vehicles needed to be towed. McCann was cited for following too closely.

Burglary. Two separate burglaries from camps were reported by Warren-based state police. Someone entered a camp belonging to Jerold Baker and stole $950 while someone entered a camp belonging to Daniel Mozzy and stole cash, Jim Beam whiskey and Dr. Pepper. Conewango Twp.

DUI. Conewango Township Police reported that at 11:18 p.m. on July 23, Thomas J. Chapman, 20, Pittsfield, was stopped for speeding at Route 6 and Preston Road, when he was found to be under the influence of a controlled substance. Chapman was charged with DUI controlled substances, DUI schedule 1 controlled substance, eight counts of drug paraphernalia, possession, and two traffic citations.

Retail theft. Conewango Township Police reported that at 6:30 p.m. on July 25, WalMart Loss Prevention personnel contacted them about a past-tense retail theft. Shannon C. Seth, 29, Warren, was allegedly captured by video surveillance concealing $49.97 worth of merchandise in her purse. She was identified by the video, and charges have been filed through a local district magistrate for summary retail theft.

Accident. Conewango Township Police report that at 6:05 p.m. on Aug. 8, police were dispatched to the intersection of Market Street and Jackson Run Road for a motor vehicle accident. Craig W. Darling, Sugar Grove, told police he was traveling north on Martket Street in the turning lane, and he believed he had the left turn green arrow, and turned into the path of a southbound vehicle. The driver and passenger of that vehicle, whose names were not released, said they could not avoid striking Darling’s vehicle. Witnesses stated that the southbound vehicle had a steady green light when the crash occurred. Darling was charged with a summary count of vehicles turning left, and charges have been filed with District Justice Laura Bauer pending further court action. No one in either vehicle was injured.

Warren

Charged. Warren City Police said Richard Edwards, 25, Erie, was charged with DUI, DUI general impairment, DUI .16 percent or higher, driving vehicle at safe speed, careless driving, accidents involving damage to unattended property, immediate notice to police, restrictions on alcoholic beverages and tire equipment and traction surfaces following an investigation into a one-vehicle accident at Jackson Avenue and Carver Street at 12:50 a.m. July 11.

Cited. Warren City Police said Angel Cobb, 37, Jamestown, N.Y., was cited for harassment on July 20 after police responded to a report of a female making threats to another female.

Charged. Warren City Police said Brenda Knisley, 38, Warren, was charged with retail theft on July 23 after police took a report from a local convenience store of a past-tense retail theft in the amount of $3.32.

Cited. Warren City Police said Darrell Weilacher, 73, Youngsville, was cited for limitations on backing on July 27 following a two-car accident on Pine Street on April 27.

Charged. Warren City Police said Kenndall Russell, 20, Warren, was charged with disorderly conduct, public drunkenness and underage drinking on July 28 after officers came across a group of people at 1:36 a.m. Joshua Haskins, 19, and Dakota Hochstine, 19, Warren, were cited for disorderly conduct and two juveniles, also from Warren, were cited for underage drinking and disorderly conduct, involving the same incident.

Cited. Warren City Police said a 15-year-old male was cited for disorderly conduct on July 28 after police received a report of people on a roof.

Charged. Warren City Police said Melena Burry, 38, Warren, was charged with terroristic threats, recklessly endangering another person and simple assault on Aug. 1 after police responded to a report of an assault.

Cited. Warren City Police said Jessica Holcomb, 31, Warren, was cited with public drunkenness on Aug. 2 after police came across her at midnight in public in an intoxicated state.

Cited. Warren City Police said Gerald Lundberg, 25, Warren, was cited for retail theft on Aug. 2 after police received a report that he left a local convenience store without paying for $2.11 of merchandise.

Charged. Warren City Police said Colby Phillips,40, Warren, was charged with contempt of a court order on Aug. 2 following an investigation.

Cited. Warren City Police said David Cox, 25, Warren, was cited for disorderly conduct after police responded to an incident at his residence at 2 a.m. on Aug. 3.

Cited. Warren City Police said Angelica Lombardo, 22, Warren, was cited for disorderly conduct on Aug. 4 after officers were dispatched to a noise disturbance at 12:46 a.m.

Charged. Warren City Police said Brennan Smith, 18, Warren, was charged with underage drinking on Aug. 4 after police came into contact with him at 3:07 a.m. during an investigation.

Cited. Warren City Police said Gerald Lundberg, 25, and Julie Curtis, 23, both of Warren, were cited for retail theft on Aug. 5 after police responded to a theft of merchandise totaling $13.98 from a local convenience store.

Cited. Warren City Police said Brennan Smith, 18, and Dylan Wineriter, 20, both of Warren, were cited for underage drinking on Aug. 4 after police responded to a report that they were harassing a person known to them.

Burglary. Corry-based state police reported investigating a burglary at a Stillwater Rd. residence that occurred between 10 p.m. on August 5 and 6 a.m. August 6. Someone allegedly stole a horse saddle from a barn belonging to Theresa Lee Richards, 48, Sugar Grove, and also slashed the front and back driver side tires on Richards’ vehicle. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police.

Pleasant Twp.

Crash. Warren-based state police responded to a two-vehicle accident at 3:15 p.m. August 7 on Main Ave. at its intersection with Harmar St. A 2003 Ford Escape, driven by Brandy D. Michael, 40, Clarendon, entered the intersection and struck a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by Donald R. Anderson, Jr., 63, Warren.

Michael as well as a passenger, Ashley A. Jipson, 24, Clarendon, both received apparent minor injuries and were transported to Warren General Hospital for treatment by Warren City ambulance and Pleasant VFD.

Both vehicles received disabling damage and were towed from the scene by Koebley’s Towing. Warren City police and fire responded to the scene and secured it until state police arrived.

Police said Michael was cited for a stop sign violation.

Warrant arrest. At approximately 3:35 p.m. on August 4 Warren County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Elizabeth Seice, 27, Warren, with the assistance of the Warren Co. Adult Probation Department on a supervisor’s warrant for parole violations. Seice was incarcerated in the Warren County Prison pending further court action.

Warrant arrest. At approximately 10:45 a.m. on August 7 Warren County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Shonda Filiatrault, 40, Warren, with the assistance of the Warren Co. Adult Probation Department on a bench warrant for failure to appear for a gagnon II hearing. Filiatrault was incarcerated in the Warren County Jail awaiting further court action.

Brokenstraw Twp.

Theft. Warren-based state police reported that sometime between July 30 and August 4 someone removed four studded winter tires along with the steel wheels from the yard of David Krack on National Forge Rd. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police or the Warren County Crime Stoppers.

Conewango Twp.

Criminal mischief. On August 5 at 10 p.m. someone threw a Bud Light beer bottle at a 1998 Buick Century owned by Shawn Foley of Warren. The vehicle was legally parked at 1077 Jackson Run Rd. Police said the bottle struck the driver’s side window of the vehicle causing it to shatter. Anyone with information is asked to contact Conewango Township police.

Pittsfield Twp.

DUI. Warren-based state police reported that on July 8 at 10:22 police were called for a suicidal male. Upon arrival at 135 Dey Ln. an investigation was conducted. During the investigation it was determined that Terry Lee Wagner, 41, Garland, was under the influence of alcohol. Wagner was subsequently arrested for DUI. Charges were filed through District Justice Laura Bauer’s office.

Domestic dispute. Youngsville Borough Police said they were called to 112 Marsh Ave. for a domestic dispute on Aug. 4 at approximately 6:30 p.m. Police charged Michael Raszmann, 39, Smethport, for harassment after it was determined he caused an injury to a victim. Police said charges have been filed with District Justice Arthur Zerbe’s office.

Underage drinking. Warren City police said a 13-year-old female was charged with disorderly conduct, public drunkenness and underage drinking on July 17 after city police responded to a report of an unresponsive female.

Hit and run. Warren City police said Chelsea Whitehill, 24, Warren, was charged with accidents involving damage to unattended vehicle, driving on right side of roadway, careless driving, operation of vehicle with expired inspection, seatbelt violation and driving while registration is suspended following a hit and run accident on Franklin Street on July 17.

Harassment. Warren City police said Wayne Campbell, 37, Clarendon, was cited for harassment on July 21 after repeatedly harassing the victim after being told to stop.

DUI. Warren City police said Diana Mosley, 41, Warren, was charged with DUI, DUI .16 percent or higher, a turn signal violation and driving on roadways laned for traffic on July 21 following a traffic stop.

Public drunkenness. Warren City police said Richard Miller, 31, Warren, was cited for two counts of public drunkenness and disorderly conduct after police responded multiple times to reports that he was causing a disturbance.

Assault. Warren City police said Cody Haines, 24, Warren, was charged with aggravated assault and simple assault on July 25 after police received a report of a past-tense domestic dispute. He was placed in the Warren County Jail on a probation detainer.

Assault. Warren City police said Jill Zimmerman, 38, Russell, was charged with two counts of aggravated assault and disorderly conduct on July 25 after police responded to a report of a combative female.

Theft. Warren City police said Randy Miller, 25, Russell, was charged with theft of leased property on July 29 following an investigation.

Brokenstraw Twp.

Burglary. Warren-based state police report that sometime between 12:01 a.m. on July 7 and noon on July 28, someone forcibly entered a camp on Thatchers Lane and removed approximately 20 DVD movies. Anyone with information is asked to call state police or Crimestoppers.

Clarendon

Criminal mischief. Warren-based state police report that sometime between 12:01 a.m. on Aug. 1 and 10 a.m. on Aug. 2, someone broke the headlight, tail light and turn signal covers with an unknown projectile at a residence on S. Main Street. Anyone with information is asked to call the state police or Crimestoppers.

Limestone Twp.

DUI crash. Warren-based state police report that at 10:15 p.m. on Aug. 3, a known 34-year-old man of Warren was arrested for DUI after a vehicle he was driving left the roadway into a ditch on Route 337 south of Route 62. Charges will be filed through District Justice Arthur Zerbe’s office. The police report did not identify the man.

Sheffield Twp.

Crash. Warren-based state police report that at 6:40 p.m. on Aug. 4, Geoffrey W. Perry Jr., 29, Kane, was traveling west on Route 6 in a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado when he fell asleep at the wheel and drove off the roadway. The vehicle struck a culvert, then crossed the roadway into the eastbound land and struck a guide rail. He was transported to Kane Community Hospital by a Sheffield Volunteer Fire Department ambulance with minor injuries. Sheffield VFD assisted at the scene with traffic control and emergency medical services.

Retail theft. On July 29, at 3 p.m., Walmart Loss Prevention witnessed Adam Wesley Confer, 307 N. State St., Warren, conceal $44.80 worth of merchandise in his backpack and attempt to leave the store without paying for the items. Conewango Township police subsequently charged Confer with retail theft.

Elk Twp.

DUI. Warren-based state police responded to a one-vehicle accident on July 21 at 10:57 p.m. on Fox Hill Rd. A 2011 Chevrolet Impala, driven by John David McHenry, 68, Elk Twp., was traveling west on Fox Hill Rd. west of King Rd. McHenry lost control of the vehicle while attempting to negotiate a right-hand curve, leaving the roadway and striking a tree. Police said McHenry received minor injuries and was treated at the scene. After an interview, police subsequently arrested McHenry for DUI. Charges were filed through District Justice Laura Bauer’s office. Russell and Scandia VFD and PennMark Towing assisted at the scene.

Farmington Twp.

Theft. Warren-based state police reported that on August 1, between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m., someone removed a Waltham antique car clock from Rex Shelton Bull’s yard sale at a residence on Rt. 957. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police.

Pine Grove Twp.

Crash. Warren-based state police responded to a one-vehicle accident on August 4, at 12:19 a.m., on N. Main St. – north of Riverbend Rd. A 1998 Jeep Cherokee, driven by Jacob T. McCool, 18, Russell, was traveling south on N. Main St. and attempted to negotiate a left-hand curve in the roadway. The vehicle traveled off of the west berm and when McCool tried to correct the vehicle began to fish tail. The vehicle continued for 275 feet before sliding off the west berm, traveled into a bank and rolled onto its roof. Police said McCool was not injured in the crash but was cited for driving on roadways laned for traffic. Russell VFD and Rarey’s Towing assisted at the scene.

Criminal mischief. Warren-based state police reported that on August 2, at 11 p.m., someone damaged a vehicle belonging to Katelynn Jean Sorrell, 25, with a blunt object. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police.

Spring Creek Twp.

Crash. Corry-base state police responded to a one-vehicle crash on Reed Rd. west of Picidilli Hill Rd. on August 2 at 9:20 p.m. A 16-year-old male, of Corry, was traveling west on Reed Rd./Winton Rd. and lost control while attempting to negotiate a right-hand curve. The vehicle traveled off the roadway and struck an embankment on the south side of the roadway. The male, as well as a 15-year-old male passenger, also of Corry, were not injured in the accident. Police said the driver was not wearing a seatbelt, but the passenger was. Leroy’s Towing assisted at the scene. The driver was cited for driving vehicle at safe speeds.

Defiant trespass. Conewango Township police reported that David H. Rulander, 43, Warren, had previously been given notice of trespass from Warren Cinema III. On July 27 at 1:35 p.m. he went to the Cinema and handed the cashier a note and left. Police said Rulander was cited with one count of misdemeanor defiant trespass.

Possession. Conewango Township police were called to a North Warren residence on May 27 in reference to a resident observing marijuana plants in another resident’s side window. Police arrived and viewed the marijuana plants and obtained a search warrant for the residence. Numerous items of drug paraphernalia were found along with two marijuana plants. Following an investigation, police charged Todd L. Jones, 32, North Warren, on July 3 with possession of marijuana and four counts of drug paraphernalia. Police said a preliminary hearing is set for Aug. 5.

Mead Twp.

Crash. Warren-based state police responded to a one-vehicle accident on Route 59 just west of the McKean County line on Aug. 2 at 4:30 p.m. According to police, a 2012 Harley-Davidson Ultra Classic, driven by Lance N. Hedlund, 61, Jamestown, N.Y., was traveling west when a deer entered the roadway. Police said Hedlund applied the brakes, leaving approximately 34 feet of skid marks but was unable to avoid a collision. The front of the vehicle hit the deer causing Hedlund to lose control. The vehicle slid on its right side of the roadway into the eastbound lane and onto the eastbound berm leaving approximately 229 feet of scrape marks coming to rest in the berm. Hedlund sustained minor injuries but a passenger, Rhonda L. Hedlund, 58, Jamestown, sustained moderate injuries and was transported to Warren General Hospital, according to police. Pleasant, Glade and Clarendon volunteer firefighters assisted at the scene.

Triumph Twp.

DUI crash. Warren-based state police report that at 12:19 a.m. on July 21, Donald Charles Gesin, 53, Tidioute, was traveling west on Route 127, approximately one-half mile west of Campbell Hill Road, when he lost control of his vehicle while negotiating a right-hand curve. Police said his vehicle traveled approximately 300 feet northwest, crossed both lanes and struck a bridge on the south side of the roadway. The impact caused Gesin’s vehicle to spin counterclockwise and travel backwards to the northeast 30 feet before coming to rest in the middle of both lanes, facing west. Police said it was determined that Gesin was driving under the influence of alcohol, and charges were filed through District Justice Arthur Zerbe’s office.

Clarendon

Burglary. Warren-based state police report that sometime between June 27 and noon on July 11, someone removed an AK-47 rifle from a residence at 26 High Street in Clarendon. Anyone with information is asked to call the state police or Crimestoppers.

Columbus Twp.

Burglary. Corry-based state police reported that between 10:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. on July 31 someone entered the residence of Joanne Proper, 69, Route 426, Corry, and stole a laptop computer and several other items. Estimated value of the stolen property is $400. Anyone with information is asked to contact Corry-based state police or Warren County Crime Stoppers.

DUI. Corry-based state police reported that on July 29 at 9:10 p.m. William C. Moyer, 47, Columbus, was stopped for a summary traffic violation in the area of Route 6 and Route 957. Police said on further investigation it was determined that Moyer was under the influence of alcohol and was charged with DUI through District Justice Arthur Zerbe’s office.

Freehold Twp.

Crash. Corry-based state police responded to a one-vehicle accident on US 6 east of Deadman’s Run Rd. on July 31 at 3:10 p.m. A 2003 Honda Accord, driven by Robert L. Grossman, 84, Corry, traveled off the roadway and twice struck a guide rail on the north side of the roadway. The vehicle continued through three private properties and across Western Rd. The vehicle then traveled across a small creek and struck the embankment on the opposite side of the creek. The vehicle then spun in the air and landed in a private yard. Police said that Grossman had extremely low blood sugar levels upon EMS arrival and said that it is assumed that Grossman suffered from a diabetic shock attack and became unconscious at the wheel. Grossman suffered severe injuries to his hands, face, ribs and neck and was flown to UPMC Hamot. Wrightsville VFD, EmergyCare, STAT MedEvac and Dyke’s Towing assisted at the scene.

Glade Twp.

Burglary. Warren-based state police reported that sometime between 6:30 p.m. on July 28 and 8 a.m. on July 29 someone forcibly gained entry into Lindell’s Hatch Patch and stole an undisclosed amount of money.
