City spring cleanup begins Monday
The City of Warren will conduct its annual spring clean-up program starting Monday.
Items and materials to be collected include leaves, hedge and brush clippings, tree limbs and branches. Lawn refuse must not be mixed with tree limbs and branches but should be placed in containers such as plastic bags or cardboard boxes. Leaves should be piled separately and not mixed with other material. Tree limbs and branches are to be piled separately with all cut ends facing in the same direction.
Stones, brick or concrete, dirt, boards, etc., will not be collected.
Items to be collected should be placed near the curb or edge of street pavement, not within the street itself and should be set out for collection as close as possible to the appropriate collection day, but no later than 7 a.m. of the day scheduled.
This is the only collection program the city provides. Certain unanticipated circumstances could delay the program.
The intended clean-up schedule is:
– April 14 – East City limits to Parker Street
– April 15 – Parker Street to Irvine Street
– April 16 – Irvine Street to Prospect Street
– April 17 – West of Prospect Street, South of East . Third Avenue
– Monday, April 21 – East Third Avenue to Frank Street
– Tuesday, April 22 – Frank Street to Connecticut Avenue
– Wednesday, April 23 – Connecticut Avenue to Quaker Hill Road
– Thursday, April 24 – Water Street to Hazel Street
– Friday, April 25 – Hazel Street to west city limits
– Monday, April 28 – Entire area south of the Allegheny River.
