Safety event
The Forest Service is holding an event in honor of National Public Lands Day. The event will be held Sat., Sept. 28, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Kinzua Beach. The event will be posted by Penn Soil RC&D in partnership with the ANF. The event will include wildfire prevention tips, fly fishing demonstration, kayak rescue demonstrations, Leave No Trace awareness, tick, swim, canoe and motorboat safety. The event will be held rain or shine but will be moved to Oct. 5 in the event of severe weather.
Garden Club meets
Warren Garden Club met at Betts Park for its annual summer picnic. The next meeting will be held on Oct. 17 at 1 p.m. at St. Joseph Church where participants will create a small autumn design.
Class reunion
The 40th reunion of the Eisenhower High School Class of 1984 will be held on Oct. 19 at the Warren Eagles Club. Cash bar and appetizers begin at 5 p.m. with a buffet dinner at 6:15 p.m. Cost is $34 per person. Reservations are required and all payments must be received by Oct. 9. Payments can be made by Venmo @James-Hall-1637 or checks made payable to Brian Hall and mailed to 429 Woodland Hills Drive, Pittsburgh, Pa., 15235.
