Intersection to be closed

The intersection of West Fifth Avenue and Hickory Street in Warren will be closed Friday, Oct. 28, for asphalt restoration.

Library to close beginning Nov. 4

The Warren Public Library will be closed Friday, Nov. 4, through Monday, Nov. 7, for electrical changes that are part of the library renovation. The library will reopen at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8. Executive Director Kelli Knapp said the renovation is nearing completion. “We aren’t quite there yet. We are still waiting for materials that are on backorder and for some final punch list items to be completed,” Knapp said. “We hope to have an open house before the end of the year, but are not able to set a date quite yet. We are especially excited to open our new Teen Space.” Updates will be posted at warrenlibrary.org and the warrenpalibrary Facebook page.

Fiber Artists to meet

The Warren County Fiber Artists will meet Nov. 1 at 6 p.m. at the Church of God, 208 Market St. The program for the evening will be on Tunisian crochet. Members should bring with them worsted weight yarn and a Tunisian crochet hook (size G-H-or I). Reservations are required so the group has enough supplies for everyone. Book signing

Local author Judy Sharer will host a book signing, give a reading from her book, and answer questions at the Tidioute Library on Nov. 16 starting at 5:30 p.m. She will feature her fourth book, “Love-Challenged Life,” in her family saga/historical romance series titled “A Plains Life.”

Murder mystery dinner

The Warren County Historical Society’s annual murder mustery is set for Nov. 12. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. The event is 1970s-themed. In addition to the mystery event, the evening will include dinner, auctions and prizes. Guests are encouraged, though not required, to dress for the era. Tickets are $35 each and may be purchased at the Warren County Historical Society or at warrenhistory.org.

Paws and Shop closed Monday

The Paws and Shop and the Shelter will be closed Monday in Warren.
