Antique gun display highlights Wilder’s last day for season
Saturday marks the last day to visit the Wilder Museum in Irvine this season.
And an Antique Gun Display will highlight that last day.
Laura McDonald, the Society’s event coordinator, said that the display will be presented by Brad Bogart.
“Brad’s historic assortment of arms includes Revolutionary War arms, French and Indian War arms, Kentucky rifles, powder horns, knives and tomahawks,” she said. “The event will take place in the Era-Gone-By Room which houses the Joseph DeFrees Antique Gun Collection which includes, 1830s French dueling pistols, a Blunderbuss, Winchester rifles and more.”
Bogart has been collecting antique guns since 1972.
“This will be the last day the Wilder Museum will be open for the 2022 season,” McDonald said. “Take the opportunity to look at our unique items available for purchase in the Gift Shop and to explore the museum’s many fascinating exhibits.”
The event is free and open to the public.
