And for all of those Eric Clapton fans out there, you can’t miss this!

On Saturday, November 5, at 8 p.m., performing at the Struthers Library Theatre will be the “Clapton Tribute EVOLUTION.”

It is their deepest desire to pay homage to Mr. Eric Clapton. Through the years, Clapton has been a major influence and icon who inspired artist, Christopher Wintrip, founder of CTE.

“We want to do justice to rock music’s most legendary performer, Mr. Eric Clapton. We cover Clapton’s musical career performing hit songs from The Yard Birds, Blues Breakers, Cream, Blind Faith, Derek & the Dominos and Clapton’s solo career and hits for an ‘incredible journey through time’ and the ‘Full Eric Clapton Experience.’ Enjoy songs ‘All Your Love,’ ‘Sunshine of Your Love,’ ‘Layla,’ ‘Cocaine,’ ‘Hold On I’m Coming,’ and more.”

Eric Patrick Clapton, CBE (Commander of the Order of the British Empire: the highest honor a British subject can receive below a knight or dame), is an English rock and blues guitarist, singer and songwriter. He is the only three-time inductee into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame: once as a solo artist and separately as a member of the Yardbirds and Cream. Clapton has been referred to as one of the most important and influential guitarists of all time. Rolling Stone magazine’s list of the “100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time” ranked Clapton second and Gibson’s “Top 50 Guitarists of All Time” ranked Clapton fourth. He was also named number five in Time magazine’s list of “The 10 Best Electric Guitar Players” in 2009. Music Critic, Aidin Vaziri hit the nail on the head when he said about Clapton, “The musician nicknamed Slowhand has always had a strong sense of melody and even his dense, improvisational solos never fade without offering substance. He has spent his career swinging between experimentation and tradition while collecting Grammys. He can play deep and soulful. He can play loud and searing. He has been a prolific champion of the blues, paying tribute to idols like B.B. King and Robert Johnson at every opportunity. And after all this time, his spot-on playing still manages to dazzle.” Join us at SLT for the best of Eric Clapton and see how Chris Wintrip’s EVOLUTION dazzles!
