Country Fair planning March opening for Youngsville store

Country Fair is coming to Youngsville.

Earlier this month, United Refining Co. purchased the 27740 Route 6 property just outside of Youngsville Borough in Brokenstraw Township that had been a BP gas station and a Shell station.

Country Fair Director of Personnel Steve Seymour issued a press release about plans for the location.

“The store, which is due to open in March 2016 will be Country Fair’s 72nd convenience store,” Seymour said. “The location will be open 24 hours per day, seven days per week, 365 days per year.”

If will include “full fueling and convenience store offering,” he said. “The location will be remodeled through the course of 2016 to bring a fresh look and a full array of Country Fair’s popular food offerings to the Youngsville community.”

The company will be hiring 20 full- and part-time employees for the new store. Those interested in applying may do so by visiting www.countryfairstores.com.

According to deed information from the Warren County Register and Recorder’s office, United purchased the property from Nanak Multiservices LLC for $700,000.

Nanak had taken out a $1,165,000 mortgage on the property in 2008.

The company eventually defaulted on the mortgage and in 2015 a court ruled in favor of the company holding the mortgage saying Nanak owed a total of over $1.1 million including $1,006,141.96 in principal.

The property went to Sheriff’s sale in December.

Starting at $3.50/week.
