ERIE – Brooke Messinger, Jocelyn Taydus and Naomi Swartzbaugh led impressive days for the Youngsville track and field teams at the McDowell Invitational on Saturday. Messinger, in what was a very exciting race, edged Warren’s Naomi Hahn to win the 1600 and added another medal in the 3200 (11:48.63). Taydus and Swartzbaugh, meanwhile, continued their success in the hurdle races. Taydus ran 17.24 in the 100s to finish third, while Swartzbaugh finished fifth in 17.42.
