Warren boys fall at Ridgway

RIDGWAY, Pa. – Warren went toe-to-toe on the road with one of District 9’s premier programs on Monday, but Ridgway had just a little too much in a 53-43 win over the Dragons. Warren led 11-8 after the first quarter, but the Elkers, an honorable mention team in Pennsylvania in Class 2A, went on a 14-4 run in the second quarter to take a 7-point lead into halftime. “That got us behind,” said Warren coach Jeff Berdine. WAHS swimming falls at Prep/Villa

ERIE – Prep/Villa swimmers won all but three events in a sweep over visiting Warren Monday. Cathedral Prep defeated the Warren boys, 133-47, while Villa Maria topped the girls, 122-55. Cara Anderson won the 100 butterfly, Katie Beyer the 100 freestyle and Paige Johnson the 200 IM for the only Warren individual wins on the night. Warren picks up huge win over General McLane

EDINBORO, Pa. – This one meant a lot. Behind 27 points from Margo Loutzenhiser and a career-high 26 from freshman Riley Childress, the Warren Lady Dragons went on the road and picked up a huge Region 6 win, 64-58 over General McLane. OIL CITY, Pa. – Try as they might, the Warren Dragons couldn’t quite rally from a double-digit deficit in a 76-71 Region 6 loss at Oil City on Friday. The Dragons put four players in double figures, led by Griffin Suppa’s 18 points.
