Eisenhower battles state-ranked Cochranton

Eisenhower coach Scott Olson doesn’t want to sound like a broke record, but he knows how close his team is. They took on Cochranton on Tuesday, the No. 2 ranked Class A team in the state, and fell by scores of 12-25, 8-25 and 17-25. And while the result wasn’t what they wanted, the progress is. “As good as Cochranton is, and they’re very good, they believe they are close to being at that level,” said Olson of his team. “When they lose, they’re frustrated, but it’s a whole different kind of frustrated from last season.” Leading the Lady Knights were Currie ...

Defensive slugfest: Fourth quarter touchdown lifts Reynolds past Eisenhower

For fans of old-school football, Friday’s game between Reynolds and Eisenhower was a real treat. The two teams traded blows for over 41 minutes of game action before either could dent the scoreboard. Unfortunately for the Knights, it didn’t go there way, in what has been a season of ...

Lady Knights earn hard-fought win over Port

The Eisenhower girls soccer team raced out to a 2-goal halftime lead and was able to hold off visiting Port Allegany, 3-2 on Thursday. Conversely, Northwestern-who defeated Eisenhower 37-34 in double overtime two weeks ago-is 5-1 and is even with its opponents, 153-153. Dissecting the Knights season ...

Despite great defensive effort, Knights fall to Cambridge Springs

Eisenhower and Cambridge Springs came into Friday’s contest at Eisenhower with identical 1-4 records and plenty of questions about whether those records accurately reflected the team’s true talent. It’s hard to say whether any of those questions were answered when all was said and done ...
