Ethan Kellogg and Tyson Morrison led the Eisenhower boys cross country team to a 16th place finish at the 54th annual McQuaid Invitational Saturday.

Kellogg finished 31st overall in the Varisty Boys Unseeded Smallest Schools division with a time of 17:23, while Morrison finished 51st at 17:53. More than 360 runners, from 48 teams, competed in the race.

“This is a really exciting race to be a part of,” Eisenhower coach Darlene Beach said.

The girls finished 21st in the varsity race. Chloe Lasecki (22:41) and Sydney Welker (22:48) led the girls in a race with 265 runners from 23 teams.

Michael Abadie and Cody Anthony finished in under 20 minutes to pace the junior varsity boys. Like their varsity counterparts, the JV boys finished 16th as 391 runners from 41 schools competed.

The McQuaid Invitational brings more than 8,000 runners from 256 schools in five states and Canada together for a run through Genesee Valley Park.

The Knights travel to Fort LeBoeuf Tuesday for a tri-meet with the Bison and Corry.
