Pennsylvania has officially designated today — July 15 — as Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) Day, recognizing the work of volunteers who advocate for abused and neglected children involved in the state's dependency court system. The House resolution honors Pennsylvania’s CASA program, which was incorporated on July 15, 1998, and now oversees a network of 21 local CASA programs serving 32 counties across the Commonwealth. Sheffield playground funding request on agenda

A new playground is coming to Sheffield Township this summer. The Warren County Commissioners are being asked to support the project through an Act 13 Greenway Program grant to help pay for the project. The request will be discussed at the commissioners’ meeting today. New York planning less restrictive data center delay

New York state will have a one-year ban on construction of large data centers, but Gov. Kathy Hochul's executive order on the issue is less restrictive than legislation passed near the end of the state legislative session.
