Warrior Resource Engagement Event set for July 24
Connecting veterans and military families with community resources, the Warren YMCA will host their Warrior Resource Engagement Event on Friday, July 24 from 11 to 3 p.m. at the Warren YMCA, 212 Lexington Avenue, Warren. The event is free and open to all Warriors, which is defined as military personnel, Veterans, and their families.
Designed to go beyond the traditional “pamphlet and pen fair,” the Warrior Resource Engagement Event will bring together organizations, service providers, employers, and community partners offering meaningful engagement, information, and support for Warriors. Attendees will have opportunities to connect directly with local and regional resources related to employment, wellness, benefits, community services, education, housing, recreation, and family support. The event is intentionally scheduled in recognition of National Hire a Veteran Day, observed on July 25. This national awareness initiative highlights the importance of civilian employment opportunities for transitioning service members and Veterans after military service while encouraging employers and applicants alike to strengthen workforce connections.
“This event is about building real relationships and meaningful access to support systems for our Warriors,” organizers said. “We want Veterans, active-duty personnel, and military families to leave feeling connected, informed, and valued by the community.”
No registration is required for attendees. Organizations and vendors interested in participating may register by contacting Erin at erin@warrenymca.org. A $25 vendor fee payable to the Warren County YWCA is requested, or vendors may alternatively provide a gift card or item(s) to be used as a door prize for Warriors attending the event.
