The names of the two people killed in a two-vehicle crash in Pittsfield Township on Thursday have been released.

Vercil ‘Sue’ B. Pierce, 71, and Louise M. Williams, 80, both of Warren, were killed when the SUV Pierce was driving, and in which Williams was a passenger, was struck by a garbage truck at 10:23 a.m. Thursday at the intersection of routes 6 and 27.

Another passenger in the SUV, Susan L. Conquer, 52, of Warren, was flown by emergency helicopter to UPMC Hamot in Erie. She was listed in critical condition on Thursday.

The driver of the truck, Gerald E. Silvis, 61, of Franklin, was not injured.

Pennsylvania State Police did not file any charges nor citations with respect to the crash.
