Corry woman killed in Monday crash

A Corry woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash Monday in Wayne Township, Erie County.

According to Corry-based Pennsylvania State Police, Ryleigh N. Plank, 20, of Corry, was involved in a crash at 2:18 p.m. Monday on Route 6, about four miles west of the Warren County line.

Police said Plank’s truck was traveling eastbound when it crossed the center line and struck an oncoming truck head-on.

The truck spun around, crossed back over the road and came to rest against the guard rail, police said.

The other vehicle, a truck driven by Nazar P. Hryntus, 31, of Parma, Ohio, left the road after impact, rolled over, and came to rest on its passenger side.

Plank was declared dead at the scene, according to police.

Hryntus was not injured and refused treatment at the scene, according to police.

Anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to contact Trooper Kirwin at the Corry Barracks – (814) 663-2043.
