Sheffield boys fall at Brockway

BROCKWAY — Brockway pulled away in the second half to beat visiting Sheffield 61-39 in an Allegheny Mountain League North/South crossover game on Wednesday.

Sheffield (1-15) trailed by 8 points at halftime, but Brockway (5-10) outscored the Wolverines 29-15 in the second half.

“We continue to turn the ball over way too much,” said Sheffield coach Jordan Copley. “Our depth is definitely a problem, but it’s up to the rest of the guys available to play to step up and help the team be successful.”

On Wednesday, Lashawn Williams scored 21 of Sheffield’s 39 with teammates Nakes Holsey and Colby Barr adding 7 and 6, respectively.

Kyle Kennedy led Brockway with 17, including three 3-pointers.
