RUSSELL — Lexi Scholar had a girls soccer game to remember Tuesday in Eisenhower’s 13-1 Region 3 victory over Maplewood.

How good was it?

Scholar scored six goals and added a pair of assists, affirming what Lady Knights head coach Faith Johnson described as a “phenomenal year for us.”

“I’m sure it was rough for her joining our team as a senior, but she has been an integral part of our squad, and her transition has been seamless for our girls as well.”

Scholar wasn’t alone in the scoring column as five different Eisenhower players scored goals with two players finding the back of the net multiple times. Shayleigh Albaugh added a goal in each half for Eisenhower along with Callan Gigliotti who also added a pair of goals. Rosalie Rondeau, Sophia Martin and Olivia Wallace chipped in one goal apiece.

The Lady Knights improved their record to 11-5-1 overall and 6-4 in Region 3. They will await the playoff selection committee’s meeting Thursday to find out who and where they will play in the first round of the playoffs.

Starting at $3.50/week.
