Warren girls 3rd at Blueberry Hill GC
Warren’s girls golf team finished third Tuesday at the regular season’s fourth of five Region 3 Mega Matches, this one at its home course of Blueberry Hill.
McDowell once again led the way with a team score of 151 followed by Fort LeBoeuf (282), Warren (293), Meadville (319) and Erie High (378).
Medalist was Genella Kang with an 81 followed by Bella Deaten with an 83.
Maddie Walker and Elissa Errett led the way for Warren with 93 each followed by Kate Shippee’s 107, Allie Lauffenburger’s 116 and JoJo Gray’s 126.
Warren and LeBoeuf also played a junior varsity match won by Warren 247-277.
Warren’s Lexi Paris led the scoring in this match with a 122 to teammate Katharine Smith’s 125. Warren’s Marissa Palmieri shot a 152 and Maelee Mandevile 161.
“This was the last home match for five seniors today who have been instrumental in reinvigorating the girls golf team and they will be missed,” said Warren coach Scott Pearson.
The season results in the division now stand at McDowell with 20 points, Ft. LeBoeuf 16, Warren 12, Erie 7 and Meadville 5.
The last 3A Region 3 Mega Match will be held on Monday at McDowell’s home course, Downing Golf Course.
