Eisenhower fullback/linebacker Tucker Lindell has been added to the Pennsylvania roster for the Big 30 All-Star Charities Classic, set for Aug. 3 at Bradford High School’s Parkway Field.
Lindell is the son of Karen and Jared Lindell of Lander.
The Pennsylvania coaches will have a hard time selecting which side of the ball Lindell plays on, as he has been a record setting force for the Knights on both offense and defense over his career.
While playing fullback for the Knights, Lindell rushed for 1,734 yards on 261 carries, good for 6.6 yards per carry. He scored 22 touchdowns and set a new school record with a 99-yard touchdown run.
As a linebacker he had 95 solo tackles,155 assists and set a new school record with 49.5 tackles for loss.
Over his career he was named Eisenhower’s defensive MVP as a junior and was named offensive MVP as a senior. He was also named to the all-region and District 10 team.
“It’s a great honor to be selected and to be able to put the pads on one more time with my teammates will be awesome,” Lindell said.
“Tucker is absolutely an old-school, throwback player,” Eisenhower head coach Jim Penley said. “He was an outstanding run defender for us. He was a very physical runner and a dominant blocker as well. I would argue to say that he’s the best all-around fullback I’ve had here. If we needed someone to make a big play and set the tone for a game, Tucker was always that guy. We will certainly miss him on both sides of the ball.”
Lindell will be attending Southeast Lineman Training Center in Trenton, Georgia this fall.
