Warren boys are 3-0 after tennis sweep

TITUSVILLE — Warren’s boys tennis team is 3-0 overall after a 5-0 sweep of Titusville on Tuesday.

Abe Wolf won 6-1, 6-0 over Andru Mott at top singles; No. 2 Adam Strandburg swept Aidan Stover, 6-0, 6-0; and Lucas Thrift won 6-0, 6-3 over Aubree Colie.

“Abe, Adam and Lucas played aggressive singles tennis today, demonstrating their athleticism and skill in convincing wins,” said Warren assistant coach Mike Kiehl. “The doubles pairings of Jack and Colin and Owen and Ben played solid tennis in windy conditions to secure a 5-0 win for the Dragons.”

Warren’s Jack Lynds and Collin Ellis won 6-1, 6-3 over Chloe Preston and Alana Jackson. Ben Scott and Owen Baldensperger won 6-0, 6-3 over Chauncey Bowens and Colin Wagner.

Warren (2-0 in Region 1) hosts Hickory today at Betts Park.
