Ike track teams compete in Harborcreek

HARBORCREEK — The Eisenhower track & field teams competed at the Harborcreek Invitational on Saturday, with the girls placing fifth and the boys placing 11th in their 12-team fields.

Leading the way for the girls was Laney Belcher, who placed first in the 400 meters (1:05.02) and was a member of the second-place 1,600-meter relay with Emily Grosch, Lainey Font and Lexi Scholar (4:34.98).

Also claiming second-place finishes were the 3,200-meter relay team of Scholar, Emily Grosch, Izzy Grosch and Peyton Kellogg (11:15.38); Emily Grosch in the 800 meters (2:43.19); Scholar in the 400 meters (1:05.11); and Rosalie Rondeau in the triple jump.

Sophia Martin tied for fifth in the triple jump (15.5); Hialeah Stanton was sixth in the pole vault (7-0); and several girls took seventh place. They were Marissa Gourley in the 100-meter hurdles (18.45); Izzy Grosch in the 1,600 meters (6:27.92); the 400-meter relay of Rondeau, Martin, Font and Gourley (56.26); and Rondeau in the 200 meters (28.39) and the long jump (14-9).

For the boys, Joe Mistretta placed second in the 400 meters (53.4) and third in the 800 meters (2:10.89) and was a member of the sixth-place 3,200 meter relay with David Abadie, Easton Fitzgerald and Joe Gigliotti (9:36.03).

Case Seymour placed fifth in the triple jump (39-5.5).
