The EPIC Warren 17s travel volleyball team won an 18s regional tournament on Sunday at Erie Sports Center. Their 2-1 record in pool play — with wins over Nickel City (Buffalo) and Allegheny Volleyball Club (Pittsburgh) — was enough to win the pool, despite a 1-2 loss to Octane Wolverines (Olean, N.Y.). Warren avenged the loss to Octane in the first round of the gold playoffs with a 2-0 win, then went on to defeat Corry 2-0 in the semifinals before winning over Erie Sports Center VBC 2-1 in the finals.
