Junior high volleyball

Last week, the Beaty volleyball teams played four matches. On Tuesday, Feb. 20, the 8th grade defeated Youngsville, 25-16, 25-6, 25-15, while the 7th grade also won, 25-19, 25-21, 26-24. On Thursday, Feb. 22, the teams traveled to Ridgway where the 8th grade was victorious, 25-17, 25-16, 25-10, and the 7th grade also won, 25-17, 25-13, 15-25. They finished up the week at a tri-match with Dubois and Punxsutawney. Dubois defeated Beaty’s 8th grade team, 18-25, 18-25, while Beaty earned a split with Punxsy, 20-25, 25-17. The 7th grade was defeated by DuBois, 10-25, 9-25, and Punxsutawney, 19-25, 17-25.

The 8th grade team is now 5-2-2, while 7th grade moves to 5-4.

Hailey Cabisca 17 kills, 12 aces, 10 digs; Ava Wymer 15 kills, 22 aces, 4 digs; Grace Schwab 11 kills; Kelsey Johnson 5 kills, 6 aces; Addison Brown 4 kills; Kiera Garris 9 aces, 13 digs, 3 kills; Tia French 2 kills, 1 ace, 1 dig; Michaela Dolan 16 aces, 28 assists, 8 digs; Carly Fitzsimmons 4 digs; Alexis Sharp 5 digs; Alliesun Woodin 2 aces; and Joanna Bennett 3 aces.
