BELLEFONTE — Warren’s girls wrestling team left the Bald Eagle Area Varsity Girls Wrestling Tournament on Saturday with three top-five finishes.

Two Lady Dragons earned third-place medals, including Jenna Kophazy (3-1, only losing in the semifinals of her weight class) and Kasey Kophazy (3-1, losing her first match of the day and battling back).

Katie Seamens also lost in the semis of her division. She was winning in the consolation semifinals and got reversed to her back. She had a 20-second pin to take fifth place.

Emily Wiles was 0-2 on the day, “but continues to show improvement,” said Warren coach Glenn Baldensperger.

“It was my first time (coaching the) girls in competition,” he said. “I was impressed, and they still have a lot of room to get better. They compete again this Saturday.”

Starting at $3.50/week.
