After her team secured the program’s second-ever District 10 championship, Warren junior setter Lindsay Madigan has been named a MaxPreps/AVCA (American Volleyball Coaches Association) Girls High School Player of the Week. In nine D10 3A playoff sets, the 5-foot-6 Madigan had 100 assists, 32 digs, eight kills, seven service aces and three blocks. Madigan’s Lady Dragons defeated last year’s D10 champion in Conneaut in four sets before winning a five-set thriller over Meadville in the final. In the PIAA 3A first round, Warren (15-2) will host North Catholic (18-1) — the second seed out of District 7 (WPIAL) — at 6 p.m. today at Warren Area High School.
