Ike cross country swept at Corry

CORRY — Ike’s Joe Mistretta finished first in the boys race on Monday, but the Knights fell to Corry, 43-20, and the Lady Knights lost, 37-19.

Mistretta’s time of 10:57 won by 12 seconds in the two-mile. Other Knights out of 18 included: Easton Fitzgerald (ninth, 12:01); Griffin Williams (10th, 12:02); Timithy McAulay (14th, 13:22); JE Unida (16th, 14:14); and Jonathan Bogniak (18th, 16:38).

For the Lady Knights, Emily Grosch was fifth out of 17 in 14:19; Kierra Wismar (sixth, 14:24); Izzy Grosch (seventh, 14:29); Peyton Kellogg (eighth, 14:35); Bryn Lindell (11th, 15:14); Callie Delp (12th, 16:00); Lillian Cathcart (15th, 16:46); and Cassady Ferino (16th, 17:00).

“This was our final Region 4 dual meet of the season,” said Ike coach Darlene Beach. “It’s a much different race going the two-mile distance. Our varsity has the next two weeks to prepare for the District 10 championship meet.”
