Golf tournament
WARREN — Jackson Valley Golf Course hosted its annual Member-Guest Tournament last weekend.
On Saturday, playing six holes apiece of two-man combined, two-man scramble and two-man better ball, John Aldrich and Jerry Rouse led the A Flight with an 85. Jesse McMichael and Tyler Labesky were second with an 87. Rick Gignac and Andrew Gignac, Chet Loomis and Todd Sidon, and Matt Johnson and Bryan Landis tied for third with 88s.
In the B Flight, Fred Utegg and Mike McPhearson led the way with an 87. Bill Andrews and Steve Phillips were second with an 89. Skete Williams and Butch Camarata took third with a 92.
Sunday’s two-man combined scorers were added to Saturday’s results leaving Rob Ritchie and Dave Holcomb as the overall champions with a 227. Loomis and Sidon were second with a 229.
Johnson and Landis won the A Flight with a 230 followed by Gignac and Gignac (232), and Mark Sweet and Tyler Sweet (235).
In the B Flight, Joe Muscaro and Nick LaManna led the way with a 234. Utegg and McPhearson were second with a 234 while Andrews and Phillips were third with a 237.
Golf leagues
WARREN — Ergon leads the second half of the Thursday Night League at Jackson Valley Golf Course with 50.5 points.
Shults of Warren is second with 50 points followed by Dude, Where’s My Par? (48), Sons of the Legion (48) and Financial Care Partners (45.5).
Steve Sixt, Tom Nowacki and Matt Johnson tied for high points with 8 apiece.
Jesse McMichael shot low gross on the front nine with a 38 while Tyler Labesky and Rob Ritchie tied on the back nine with 36s. Tim Watkins led the seniors on the front nine with a 37 while Fred Franklin shot an identical 37 on the back nine.
Konnor Hoffman shot the low net on the front nine with a 34 and Mike Bonavita led on the back nine with a 33. Ron Leofsky led the seniors on the front nine with a 32. Seniors on the back nine to shoot a net-leading 35 included Mike Hawley, Tom Moyers, Terry Ressler and Jerry Baker.
