Lady Knights post softball win at Kane

KANE — Eisenhower continued its hot hitting as it traveled to Kane and recorded a 17-7 win.

The Knights opened up the scoring in the first inning when Kailee Morrison walked with the bases loaded.

The score would hold until the third inning when the Lady Knights added seven runs to open their the lead to 8-0. The Lady Wolves put four runs on the board in their half of the inning to cut the lead in half.

Eisenhower put the game away by exploding for eight runs in the top of the sixth when Alexis Pascuzzi, Lillian Smyth, Payton Frank, Emilie Jones, Samantha Childs and Morrison all drove in runs.

Jones went the distance on the hill for the Lady Knights, scattering11 hits, with five strikeouts.

Offensively, Eisenhower pounded out 12 hits in the game, with Tracey Jakubczak, Julia Gesing, Morrison and Jones each having multiple hits. Jakubczak went 3 for 5 and stole five bases.
