RUSSELL — The Eisenhower Knights welcomed Iroqouis to Werner Park on Thursday and the long layoff between games did not seem to affect either team as the Braves eventually beat the Knights 9-6 in Region 3 baseball action.
Both pitchers were kept busy in the game as each team had 10 hits.
The Knights were led by Jarius Casey, who went 3 for 3 on the day. Teammates Kael Hunt and Shawn Pascuzzi each had multiple hits for Eisenhower.
The Knights fell behind in the first inning 2-0, but scored five runs in the bottom of the first to take the lead on a two-run single by Garrett Jensen.
The score would eventually be tied at 6-6 at the end of two innings of play. Braves pitchers settled down and held the Knights scoreless the rest of the game, but the Braves would push three more runs across to eventually get the win 9-6.
