Jr. high volleyball

Beaty Warren Middle School’s eighth grade and seventh grade volleyball teams each went 3-0 and won tourney titles the past two weeks.

Beaty’s eighth graders are 12-0-1 after defeating Sheffield, 25-13, 25-17, 25-5 on March 7, Eisenhower, 25-10, 25-27, 25-13, on March 9, and Cochranton, 19-25, 25-22, 25-7, on March 16. They also won the Commodore Perry eighth grade tournament on Saturday, finishing 4-1 in pool play with wins over Crawford Christian, Commodore Perry, Lakeview, and Reynolds, and one loss to Titusville.

In the tourney playoffs as the top seed, Beaty received a bye to the semifinals and defeated Reynolds, 25-11, and Lakeview, 25-20, 25-7, in the finals.

Beaty’s seventh-grade team is 11-2 overall after defeating Sheffield, 25-15, 25-5, Eisenhower, 25-14, 18-25, 25-15, and Cochranton, 25-20, 29-27, 25-21. Beaty also won the seventh-grade Commodore Perry tournament on Saturday. Beaty earned the top playoff seed, going 4-0 in pool play with wins over Crawford Christain, Commodore Perry, Lakeview, and Titusville. In the playoffs, the Dragons defeated Commodore Perry, 25-22, in the semifinals and Titusville, 25-23, 25-20, in the finals.
