YOUNGSVILLE — The second game of the basketball backyard brawl took place Friday night when the Eisenhower boys team took the short trip to face its longtime rival Youngsville.

The Knights led from start to finish.

Senior Wyatt Lookenhouse saw to that, as he poured in 33 points to lead Eisenhower to a 64-35 victory.

The Knights got off to a nice start as they connected on four 3-pointers in the first quarter in building a 16-6 advantage. In the second period, Lookenhouse scored 17 points as the lead grew to 36-13 by halftime.

After intermission, the game was played on fairly even terms.

“It was a great defensive game for our guys,” Knights coach Ryan Mangini said. “Our guys kept their composure. In a rivalry like this and a big lead, I thought our players did a nice job.

“I thought Wyatt played a great game. He was tenacious on the offensive boards and he really showed his offensive prowess. He can score from beyond the arc, drive on you or post a player up. He had a very good game in all facets. It was truly a team win.”

Alex Hill led Youngsville with 12 points.

In the junior varsity game, the Eagles prevailed 40-36 behind 15 points from Talon. Jayden Chase led Eisenhower with 10 points.
