Lady Knights fall to Kane
The Eisenhower Lady Knight’s traveled to Kane on Thursday and fell to the Wolves 43-27.
Eisenhower won the first game of the series on their home court but this time was a different story.
The Lady Knights came out flat and their shots just weren’t falling as the Wolves jumped out to a 11-2 first quarter lead and the cold shooting continued for the visitors as the Wolves opened up a 17-3 halftime lead.
Eisenhower matched Kane basket-for-basket in the third quarter, but could not break into the double-digit lead as the third quarter ended with the Wolves up 25-10.
The Lady Knights’ shots finally found the net and outscored the Wolves in the fourth quarter, but the deficit was too much for Eisenhower as the final score was 43-27 in favor of the home team.
“We really missed Lainey Belcher on the floor tonight,” Lady Knights head coach DJ Steinberg stated. “We came out flat and we weren’t shooting well. We started hitting shots in the second half, but it was too little too late. I’m proud of the girls, they never gave up.”
