Sheffield’s junior high basketball team defeated the visiting Johnsonburg Rams 30-12 Monday afternoon at Ralph J. Santo Gymnasium.

The Wolverines took a 6-0 lead in the first quarter and never looked back with Blake Silvis and Reilly Morgan both draining baskets from beyond the arc. Sheffield added another 13 points in the second quarter to go up 19-10 at half time.

Silvis was the Wolverines; leading scorer with 11 points. Reed Grubbs followed with 7 and John Whipple had 5.

Sheffield will travel to Kane on Wednesday for a 4 p.m. tipoff.

Cheri Wolfgang rolled a 179-182-502 in the Daybreakers League at Valley Bowling Center.
