Darlene A. Olson

She was born on October 30, 1946, to the late William and June Nichols in Kane, PA.

Darlene was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church in Kane, PA, until her health declined. She worked for the Pennsylvania House of Representatives office in Harrisburg, PA, for many years. Most of her working career was spent as a Health Inspector for the Department of Health from which she retired.

Darlene was an avid gardener and was also in a gardening club. She enjoyed sewing and knitting when not using her green thumb. She loved to go rummaging at garage sales and antique stores and liked her country store stuff. Darlene had a big heart and loved everyone.

Darlene is survived by her husband, Dr. Dennis Olson; her children, Timothy Olson, Matthew (Laura) Olson, and adopted daughter Betty Jo Young; her grandchildren, Will and McKenna Olson; and her brother, Ken (Cindy) Nichols, and her dog, Rollie.

In addition to her parents, Darlene was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Charles “Charlie” Frampton, and her sister and brother-in-law, Sandy and

Dick Armstrong.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, Inc. 1003 Penna Ave E, Warren, PA, 16365. Per Darlene’s wishes, there will be no services at this time.
