Junior high hoops

Eisenhower’s junior high boys basketball team outscored Sheffield 19-8 in the first quarter en route to a 55-26 victory at Sheffield Midde/High School. Ike’s Austin Hanson scored 13 of those 19 first-quarter points and finished with a game-high 21 points. Joe Gigliotti contributed 13 points and Will Mandeville eight. John Whipple and Reed Grubbs had seven points each to lead Sheffield.

Bowling leagues

Jed Kepple hit 229-631 to lead the Brokenstraw Couples league at Valley Bowling Center.

Lou Campbell rolled 224-618, Scott Gustafson knocked 226-585 and Austin Fitzgerald had 192-564.

Cheri Wolfgang rolled 188-547 to lead the Youngsville Ladies at Valley Bowling Center.

Cindy Reasbeck hit 186-515, Amy Willsie knocked 189-506 and Cindy Shafer had 185-489.

Ginny Barrett rolled a 190 in a 532 series to lead the Ladies Church League at Valley Bowling Center.

Kellie Johnson hit 173 in a 484 series and Linda Ross tossed a 165 in a 471 series.
