Johnson, Landis capture Jackson Valley GC M-G

WARREN — Matt Johnson and Bryan Landis shot a 54-hole total, 8-under par 205 to win the Jackson Valley Golf Course Member-Guest last Sunday.
Johnson shot a personal-best 75 en route to the championship, which was played as a two-man combined score format.
Runners-up were Rick and Andrew Gignac, who had the low round of the day with a 67, including eight birdies, with a 206.
Leading the A Flight were Mark Silvis-Bill Snyder with a 208; Jeff McClement-Andy Hanks with a 211; and Jordan Wilson-Tyler Labesky with a 212.
Showing the way in the B Flight were Fred Franklin-Brandon Franklin with a 208; Chet Loomis-Denny Beedle with a 211; and Slugger Lawson-Todd Honhart with a 215.
Last Friday’s event, a two-person scramble, was led by Mark Sweet and Tyler with a 60; Aaron Widrig and Zac Camarata with a 61, Mickey Caldwell and Steve Hoden with a 61; Fred Utegg and Mike McPhearson with a 61; and Jeff McClement and Andy Hanks with a 62.
Saturday’s event, was a 6-6-6 format, featuring six holes of alternate shot, six holes of two-person scramble, and six holes of a two-person better ball.
Following are the low rounds: Mike Moyer Sr.-Pete Skurzewski 62, Nick Petrarca-Ed Zieralski 62; Jordan Wilson-Tyler Labesky 63, Rick Gignac-Andrew Gignac 64; Casey Moyer-Matt Herrenberger 64; and Chet Loomis-Denny Beedle 64.
