LAKEWOOD, N.Y. — Jon Steffan and Art Ward both shot a 39 gross to lead the way for the Youngsville Senior Golf League at Maplehurst Country Club.

In second place gross was John Blum, Bill Kibbey, Rod Korbar and Bob Saunders with 40. Third place gross was Pete Hofert, Don Melson and Bill “OBY” Young with 41.

The first place net was by Ron Craker with 30. Second place net was Kibbey and Ward with 31; while third was Rick Abplanalp, Jim California, Saunders and Steffan with 32.

Both Fred Carder and Bob Rogers hit an eagle.

Bubs Smith and Ward both had two birdies. Blum, Hofert, Korbar, Steve Nikitas, Saunders, Steffan, Juan Torres and Young all had one birdie.

RUSSELL — Jim Casini and John Felton took first place with 112 points in the Paul Holmes Memorial League at Cable Hollow Golf Course.

Dave Samuelson and Dave Shurilla took second with 108.5, while Chad Buck and Steve Olson scored 104 for third.

The low net was Kurt Cardinale with 32 and it was a tie between Craig Johnson and Ralph Miller for the low gross at 40.

WARREN — Brian Sager led with 9 points, Tim Watkins had 8.5 and Rob Ritchie had 8 to lead the Jackson Valley Golf Course Tuesday Night League.

Joe Saber had a low gross 34 on the front nine and Owen Becker had a net 32. For the seniors Kihm Carlson had a scratch 40 and the top net of 34 was tied by Dave English, Jim Sudul, Mary Meneo and Kerry Gern.

Skete Williams led the back nine with a gross 34 and Tim Watkins had a net 29. For the seniors Chet Loomis had the low gross at 35 and tied for the low net of 32 with Larry Salapek.
