Eagles track sweeps Ike

Youngsville swept a pair of track and field meets at Eisenhower on Tuesday.

Blake Myers led the boys, claiming wins in all three jumping events, as the Eagles prevailed 88-58.

Koby Hendrickson won the hurdle events; Michael Bojaczko captured the 800 meters and 3,200 meters; and Logan McDonald was victorious in the 400 meters and placed second in the 1,600 meters and the 3,200 meters. McDonald was coming off an injury that ended his wrestling season early.

Meanwhile, Angelina Sabella won the 100 meters, the 200 meters and was a member of the 400-meter relay team, helping the Lady Eagles to an 87-59 victory.

Olivia Darling won the long jump (11-2) in her first attempt in that event and also claimed the 110-meter hurdles; Cassidy Britton swept the 1,600 meters and the 3,200 meters; and Lilly Sabella won the triple jump, was second in the 400 meters, was third in the 200 meters and was a member of the winning 3,200-meter relay.
