Golf leagues

Sons of the Legion currently leads the Tuesday Night League at Jackson Valley Golf Course with 91.5 points.

Eagles Club is in second place with 91 points, followed by KCS Energy (90), Awesome 4-Some (86.5) and Tasta Pizza (84).

Craig Swanson and Fred Larson both earned nine points this week. Craig Tidrick, Corey Sands, Mark Bauer, John Sabat and Al Shene each had eight points.

Corey Sands fired the low gross on the front nine with a 35 and Bill Andrews was low on the back nine with a 39. Chet Loomis was the low senior on the front nine with a 36 and Kihm Carlson was low senior on the back nine with a 42.

Harold Anderson and Ian Davidson both shot net 33s on the front nine while Swanson and Randy Carlson both shot net 32s on the back nine.

Fred Larson had a 29 for low senior net on the front nine and Randy Dickey had a 33 on the back nine.

RUSSELL — David Taylor and Ted Wyberanec led the Monday Paul Holmes Memorial League at Cable Hollow Golf Course with 13 points.

Bill Donaldson and Ken Westfphal tied Jim Griffin and Nathan Markham for second place with 12.5 points.

RUSSELL — Mike Ventura and David Stewart finished with 17 points to lead the Tuesday Fitch Disposal League at Cable Hollow Golf Course.

John Elms and Tom Moore were second with 16.5 points. Steve Wilson and Doug Wagner tied Dave Brocklehurst and Mark Shene for third with 15.5 points.

RUSSELL — Brenda Olson and Debra Gross led the Early Flight of the Wednesday Ladies League at Cable Hollow Golf Course with 13 points. Julie Brown and Kathy Bradshaw led the Late Flight, also with 13 points.

In the Early Flight, Sue Ferranto and Sue Wilson were second with 12.5 points while Bobbi Garcia and Carol Melson were third with 12 points.

In the Late Flight, Grace Wheeler and Bonnie Smith tied Gayle Lyons and Sue Carolina for second with 11.5 points.

RUSSELL — Chick Bello shot a 39 while Jon Vincent and Bill Petransky had 40s during the Men’s Senior Friday League at Cable Hollow Golf Course.

Jack Lobdell and Ed Humbert led with net 33s. Rod Seymour and Gary Redick had the most points with eight.

Maple Place Farms leads the Eastern Division with 27 points followed by Warren Tire (24.5), Struthers Wells (22.5), Cable Hollow Golf (21.5), Game Time (19.5), Jones Chevrolet (19), Schwab’s Copiers (18), Litehouse Auto (15.5) and The Duffers (14.5).

Community Resources leads the Western Division with 22 points followed by 4-Putts (22), Jim’s Team (21), Barnhart Davis NAPA (20.5), Townline Auto (20.5), Mike’s Townline (19.5), Mt. Laurel FCU (18.5), Horseshoe Inn (18) and Falconer/Frewsburg Crew (13).

Team Haynes beat Team Holden 12-2.

For Team Haynes, Asher Stanton was 2 for 3 with a double and struck out four in two innings on the mound. RJ Frederick had a triple while Colton Haynes threw two innings and struck out three.

For Team Holden, Waylon Holden and Connor Rockwell were the pitchers.

Majors League

Independent Order of Odd Fellows Lodge 339 beat American Legion Hilgren Post 658 21-8.

Sydney Barr was the winning pitcher. Cierra Melquist, Kelsi Silves, Lealah Mueller and Katie finch all had singles. Olivia Romenasky hit a home run.
